꿈 = Dream

Today someone asked me what is my dream. I reread the question and stared into space for a good couple of minutes. Nothing came to mind. Am I too old to have a dream? Did I ever dreamt of having a dream or goal in life?

Maybe, just maybe, I've never had any dream. I told her I had no dream. 꿈 없어요 was my exact words. She didn't believe it. I don't blame her. She just finished high school and moving to a foreign country soon to pursue her tertiary education.

When someone just finished high school, they feel as though they can conquer the world. And can be anything that they want to be if they put their mind into it. But after college and work for a decade, the light gets dimmer.

I only feel 피곤해요 (tired) all the time. I just want to rest and relax.

Too old to dream but never to old to learn is my motto instead of You're never too old to follow a dream.

Tudorcolor XLX 200 - my first roll on Canon AE-1

I have been neglecting my film cameras and I feel back about it. I want to take pictures so bad but I have not been anywhere over the weekends. Since I started learning Korean language every Saturday afternoon, there's no chance to go anywhere. I was fortunate to have a weekend break last week and 2 weeks before and took the opportunity to snap some pics.

This is my first roll of Tudorcolor XLX 200 which my cousin bought for me from Hong Kong last year. And I almost forgot about this film until recently. I have too many films lying around.

Here are some of the shots I took from a fishing village in Sekinchan, Selangor Malaysia. Hope that you enjoy it.

All the above photos were taken by me on my Canon AE-1 SLR camera. No filter or adjustment via photoshop to it. This is the beauty of film photography. Au naturel~

Revisiting Empire Damansara (Agfa Vista 400)

Once again, I love my new wide angle lens. Can't stop raving about it...haha...
Wanted to test the lens everywhere and everything. Be it dark areas, full of light and bright sunlight, I'll be there.
Empire Damansara is a place that I personally love. There's nothing there really except for a few shops (for now) and beautiful architecture.

Someone commented on one of my post asking about the change of deco at this place recently. Well, this post is for you and yes, they have changed the red chinese lanterns to bright pink and baby blue brollies :)

It was drizzling that day. The sky was dark but the Canon AE-1 is the master of low lights.

Beautiful brollies.

The colours are so sweet this time around.

This is my current FB cover photo coz I love this shot.

Chao Phraya River, Bangkok on film (Kodak Portra 160)

Back in February, we took a trip to Bangkok. Most of the photos were developed except for this roll. I kept some of the exposures for my Singapore trip. Here are the last of my BKK's trip photos.

Here's a photo of the fountain outside of Siam Paragon and Siam Center.

This look a bit retro. Kinda like it.

Wide angle lens (28mm) on Canon AE-1 (Kodak Portra 160)

Recently I bought a wide angle lens from Lomocrewz (you can find the buyer on Instagram @Lomocrewz_Lion). I bought my Canon AE-1 from him as well. Very speedy delivery.

Anyway, I was super excited to receive the lens and went out to test the lens. My sister drove me to Pavilion KL for some shopping and photography. Here are some photos from that roll which my sister dubbed it as her own mini album.

We were there around 11am and all is quiet. Love it.

This was taken in PJ.

I love what Portra 160 has to offer. Soft skin effect and a bit of greyish effect. Will buy more of this film once I'm done with whatever that I have left.

My ever faithful Olympus Mju II

I love carrying my Olympus Mju II camera around for its lightweight and reliability. And I love Lomography's now extinct X-pro Chrome 100 film. I still have a few rolls left with me :) I am one happy ahjumma !

Here is my most recent roll from various locations.

Cute wall art from Mugshot Cafe in Penang. I love the hanging red cloth. It's so much like Chinese horror movies.

Random sign near my in-laws place in Penang.

Empire Damansara during Chinese New Year break. They have replaced the brollies with red chinese lanterns.

Minus the lantern, this place looks like Europe.

The infamous DPAC or Damansara Performing Arts Centre.

One of the many steel staircase in Empire Damansara.

It says Heritage Lane. But it's in Empire Damansara. The arch is near Texas Chicken.

And a shot of Bangkok of  course.

My Bangkok trip

This is the first trip ever that I took only with my siblings all my life. And I love it~

I wish that the trip was longer as we were rushing around to do things with the days that we have there.

Here are some of the photos taken during the trip (on film of course!).

This was taken with Canon AE-1 and Agfa Vista 400 film.
I wish that I had a wide angle lens then. This photo would've turned out more awesome.

Beautiful prang. I always wonder whether this is considered a prang? Let me know if you have the answer.

My younger siblings busy taking photos on their Konstruktor and ColorSplash cameras.

Love their poses in this photo.

My silly sister.

This was taken with my Canon AE-1 on Fujifilm Proplus II
My absolute favourite of the lot.

This was taken with my Olympus Mju II on Lomography X-pro Chrome 100.
My sister - 1st time tourist to Bangkok.

Happy pose by the bonsai plants.

Would love to go back there again with them. The 3 of us had a great time.
Eat, sleep, shit, explore and shoot film!
